“Music is a language that doesn’t speak in particular words. It speaks in emotions, and if it’s in the bones, it’s in the bones.” ― Keith Richards

I could not have said it better! If you didn't catch one of my earlier posts, I actually started out my creative life as a musician. Flute/Piccolo, Bass Guitar, Piano, the list goes on. I have always had a passion for movie scores but honestly my musical dislikes are extremely rare. Music is an overall expression of emotion; an outlet to some, an escape to others. It brings people together and it has the ability to create any desired atmosphere.

For today's blog post I decided to list some of my most favorite Wedding songs to help you plan for one of the biggest and most intricate parts of your event: the music.

It all starts with the theme you want (and weeding out any genres you dislike.) This is super important, especially if you are hiring a professional DJ, to get the desired atmosphere. The world is your oyster when it comes to your music, though do keep in mind that some DJ's charge by the song if it's not already in their library. Another helpful tip if hiring a DJ, is to double check whether or not they play the original songs, or if they play covers or remixes. While it's all based on your preferences, it's something to double check on.
