Hannah & Nicolas | John Denver Sanctuary, Aspen, Colorado | Elopement

Hannah & Nicolas' Aspen Elopement was INCREDIBLE. These two travelled from Texas without ever having been to Colorado, but they knew this was where they wanted to tie the knot. I helped them plan out exactly where to say "I Do," and where to get the best shots on such short notice. Aspen is known for the Maroon Bells and Ski Resorts more than anything... but little does anyone know there is another amazing gem that is way less crowded and easier to get to: The John Denver Sanctuary. This little park had mountain views, a river, gorgeous bridges and sculptures that wind all the way through the town of Aspen if you follow it long enough. Being smack dab in the middle of town it's hard to believe such a beautiful oasis of nature existed - Hannah mentioned it was like stepping into Narnia! The weather held out, though it did give us a little tickle of snow flurries here and there to get the perfect moody images we love.
